NCL is the only ships that do round trip Hawaii. But be careful on which ship you choose. The reviews for the NCL cruiselines are not the best. Here is why, most other cruise lines have employees from other countries working, most of the employees on NCL are americans. for some reason the service, quality of food is not up to the standards as they are on the other cruise ines that employees the foreign workers. I dont understand why, but these are the facts. NCL does not have casinos. in order for a cruise ship to have casinos, it must go to a foreign port, like Royal Caribbean or Carnival. The rooms on board NCL are very small, compared to Carnival and Royal Caribbean. Although NCL has the two new ships in Hawaii, they are the Pride of America and Pride of Hawaii...Stay away from the Pride Of Aloha, this is the one with the bad reviews... NCL does specialize in Hawaii, you are at each port longer....
My personal opinion, The BEST ship for Hawaii is Royal Caribbeans Serenade of the seas. It has better food, service, and activities...and better reviews.

Certain destinations have certain cruise lines that kind of specialize in that destination, or are the best to use. For example, Alaska is best with Princess or Holland America, Royal Caribbean is the best for Caribbean cruises. Hawaii happens to be one of those destinations that has a better line to use. Although, anyline you use (that is a good line) will be wonderful a a Hawaii cruise.

In particular, Norweigan, NCL, is the best cruise line to take to Hawaii. They have the best cruises and would be my first choice for taking a cruise to Hawaii. The best ships for Hawaii on NCL would be: Pride of Aloha Pride of America would be my first choices. Both are great ships, good iteniraries, you really can't go wrong.

Now, some people don't really like NCL. They have the freestyle cruising, to kind of fill a gap that some people had when cruising. Some people absolutely love having, other people hate it and prefer to stick with regular cruise styles. Personally, I prefer non freestyle, but that doesn't stop me from sailing with NCL once and a while. Also, NCL is a line that can be a little too costly for some. If budget is an issue, than I would consider either Royal Caribbean Serenade of the Seas, or the Carnival Spirit. Both are going to be lower in cost, but I would definitely choose Royal Caribbean over Carnival, again, just my preference. But, I feel Royal Caribbean gives you a much nicer cruise for about the same cost.

If budget isn't an issue, but you just aren't into the freestyle cruising, you have lots of options. My favorites would be Celebrity Infinity or Summit and Princess Island Princess.

Again, you really just can't go wrong. A cruise to Hawaii is really great. You just want to look for a nice ship that has everything you are looking for and a line that offers cruises with the ports that interest you most.

I hope this helps!

There's only one line whose cruises begin and end in Hawaii, Norwegian Cruise Lines. (NCL) The others cruise from somewhere else to Hawaii, so you spend more time cruising than sightseeing the islands. (Currently there's a rule in place that ships that cruise solely in the United States must be registered in the US, and pass a much more stringent inspection, and pay higher costs, so all cruises to Hawaii will stop at a foreign port. SO the Royal Caribbean cruises start or end in Ensenada Mexico, and that's why the NCL itinerary features a stop in Kiribati for the day, to beat the US rule)
The NCL ships are not that great frankly. There's talk of revising the rule to suit Hawaii tourism, and allow more, better ships to Round-trip in Oahu, though it looks to be several years down the road. My advice is to either do a land tour or wait a bit until some better options open up.

Royal Caribbean. I'm pretty sure they sail to Hawaii... The cruise line is excellent, and provides great services and experiences. I would highly recommend it! :)
