I've bought two cars from auctions. One died on the way home and I had to replace the alternator. The other one I've had for years and have driven it across country multiple times without problems. The key is to arrive at the auction before the auction starts so that you have time to really check out the car. If you don't have a bunch of car knowledge, talk a friend who does into going with you.

Yes i have bought several car,s from auction,,and have had pretty good luck from them,,i used to buy a few to re-sale,,but here lately they have gone up so high at auction,,that i don't buy them,,but yes you can get a good deal ,,and i have made it home in all the one,s i have bought,,and i think i got some really good deals,,but then i am a mechanic,,so i sort of know what to look for when buying,,some people don't look good enough at what there buying,,and very often get took,,as for me i have got took one time,,and it was my own fault,,i was buying a car for look,s and over looked the mechanical part of it,,that was my own foolish mistake,,if you go to buy one,,take someone with you that has a little experience on car,s,so that you will get the best deal possible,,there are some good deals there but you have to be care full,,because there are a lot of car,s there that people have brought there to just get rid of,,i guess over all my experience has been pretty good,considering i always,s go to the night auction,,and don't really get a good chance to look at what i buy,,in the day light,,i hope this helps you,,and good luck.

What type of auction? My daughter bought her car off ebay and she could not have been happier. We drove to Dallas to pick it up and everything went without a hitch. It's been a great car.

my dad bought one bout a year ago, and he loves it. he bought it off ebay though he drove all the way to texas to get it
