Yes me and my husband have custady of his son and his real mother lives in another state. well when he was little we switched every six weeks. Know that he is in school we have him all school year and then he goes to her durnig the summer. If she comes hear to where we live she has him for that time also.

Yes, my x-husband live 2 states away, but again check with your court papers, I chose to meet him half way every other weekend, but most standard paperwork states that the non-custodial parent is to physically pick up/drop off on his scheduled time not yours.

Well, in the same situation. But......father doesn't really care about seeing them. He is at Ft Drum, in NY. But read your court papers. Mine states that he is responsible for pick up and drop off. It is up to you to deviate.

my boyfriend and i live in NJ and his ex-wife lives in California, they have joint custody of their children, they each have a child.. and when school is out they switch for the summer and return them when school is about to begin, he has to pay to send his daughter back to cali, and she has to pay to send the other child
to NJ.....no child support is involved just medical insurance on his behalf.......
