I'd say "Excuse me, but I believe I was here before you." and smile at them.

I've had this happen quite frequently involving men cutting in line.A few women. If it's an elderly person I usually let it go out of courtesy. If you're 50 or below, I politely confront them with a tap on the shoulder and say something like, "Excuse me, I believe I was ahead of you. Thank you for understanding." Some people, however were raised by wildebeests. In that case I cut in front of them and ask for the manager. Most people back off after my request. With children, I feel;"If you can't raise your children,I will" It's not what I say;it's how I say it. Take each offense individually. Treat them as the situation calls for and sometimes it's even best to let it go. Some people actually will resort to violence. Good luck and test the waters.

Most of the time u don't say anything because if the person has enough balls to cut right in front of u, they have the balls to hit u in the face. Other times, u politely say excuse me but u just committed the ultimate act of rudeness by cutting in front of me and it would be nice if they went to the back of the line where they belong..u know..somethin of along those lines. Don't curse, yell, or speak with an attitude, ppl are crazy. And watch their hands

Well, i think it depends on how long you have been in line and whether or not it would make a significant impact on you and how much longer you would have to wait , if his/her cutting makes you have to wait longer than you can stand.......... then say something and be really irate about it. Generally, say nothing, people that cut in line usually dont have any basic morals, respect, or integrity.

If I am with my family, I start to say something in Hungarian. That gets their attention without being overtly rude. Otherwise, I don't say anything. No need to cause a scene over something that really isn't very important.

If they are obviously doing it on purpose, let it go, they're jerks, your comment won't change that, and who want's to spend time dealing with an A******
If you think they just mis-understood or didn't see the whole line, excuse me the line is behind us, is fine.

I have to admit that the Native Jersey comes out of me.
I say "OH! There's a line here! Get your *** (if it's a guy) - or self (if it's a girl) - to the back of it here, Madonn'!"
