I am very familiar with Hal Lindsey. I have read several of his books. He, like anybody else who claims to understand the writings in the last book of the bible, is a fake. Many of his explanations of prophesy as it relates to current events have been stone cold wrong. He came up with the idea that Christians will be whisked away before the tribulation and has made quite the fortune telling the tale.
I wish people wouldn't pray on other people's fears and superstitions to make their living. It seems so wrong.

Hal is respected Christian author; check Amazon.com for listing of his books on what some refer to as "End Times", or eschatology... the branch of theology dealing with the end of the world or of humanity. He's best know for book, The Late Great Panet Earth, in which he lays out his belief and understanding of what the Bible (OT and NT) and current events (of that time) show about the End Times. I believe that the best idea is just to be ready to face eternity, then trying to define when, and how the end will come. Are you ready? John 3:16

You're kidding right? He practically invented a new theology that's spread like wildfire. How many Christians do you know who don't think we're in or near the end times?

I watched him on TV and listened on radio for quite a few years. I read ALL of his books, and met him in Vancouver Canada many years ago.

Yes, he played the character "Barney Miller" in the '70's. B grade actor, does informercials now.
