They say that there is only a 15 bed facility in the lower part of South Carolina to house illegals. That they had to satisfy 89 points before they could detain an illegal!
Why is the President and our Congress hamstringing these agents??
Why are we being promised one thing after another and yet INS and ICE are not able to properly, effectively do their jobs?

Except for Private Security Firms(I just left one to return to school,I made over 1500 arrests,mostly Illegals), The Sherriff's in this country seem to be the only Law Enforcement Agency willing to Enforce existing Laws when it comes to Illegal's........

The illegal immigrant debate only heated up in the past few months, now laws are being passed to round up illegals.
Since it was only a few months ago that the debate has risen and laws have been passed, the Criminal Justice system will need time to establish facilities to keep illegals while they await trial. When a law is established and there is likely a spike in the amount of people being detained, there will be a crunch in numbers. However, after a few years pass, there will be enough agents and facilities to house these illegals. Time will cure this problem.
It is not the president or congress "hamstringing" the agents.

It does frustrate many Law Enforcers. But things are changing. More towns are saying enforce or get out of the job. And some towns are listening and doing things to see that it is carried out.

Our best friend is a deputy......for about 17 years now. He is frustrated with the meth addicts (a daily problem for them) who can't take care of their children or families.
I am not going to lie....he has mentioned an illegal or two.....but if I was to ask him......his concern would be for the children of these drug addicts who monopolize the time of his unit. He bitches about that ALOT.
He doesn't like my views.....(he finds me to liberal....go figure)...... but he has contributed to the Minutemen and does not support amnesty. We STAY friends because we respect each other......you all need to try that.

If the federal government won't act on illegal immigration, then the states are going to have to. Write letters to your city etc and tell them you support a change to your state's constitution that'll enact local immigration enforcement. The Senate's proven itself pretty incompetent on this issue, November's going to be a rude awakening, I think, in Washington...
