I can't watch him every second. As soon as he poops his hand goes in the diaper. i just turned my back for a minute tonight and poop was every where. Believe me I DO change his diaper!

OK Once mine "painted" a mural on the wall with it, but that's another story...LOL

It's hard to explain to a 2 yr old what is acceptable behavior & what is not, so the best you can do is try to get him to understand. 1st make him responsible for some of the clean-up. 2nd explain to him in terms he can grasp how "yucky" and "dirty" it is & how it makes you feel. 3rd find him when he disappears to fill the diaper & change it just as soon as he does, and use that as a chance to work on potty training. 4th wait for him to grow out of it (which really shouldn't take long, especially if you keep after him).

To potty train a child give them a small present everytime they use the toilet correctly. Set up a chart and put a sticker on it everytime they use the restroom, and give the child a sticker or small peice of candy. When your child has a dirty diaper change it as quickly as possible. Give your child a small treat everytime he tells you that he has had an accident, and dispose of the diaper.

First off, good luck.

This is perfectly normal behavior. He is just discovering himself and what his body is doing. It's a curiosity thing that he will (with gentle guidance) grow out of. It normally doesn't take too long as his interests move onto other things.

Just be gentle with him and keep telling him in a nice way that this isn't something big boys do. Keep reenforcing the potty trainging but don't spank him or get upset with him for doing something that comes natural.

Potty training, as much as it is socially the accepted thing to do, is really against our nature. Our bodies weren't designed to be put on a schedule for evacuations.

Again, good luck and be understanding with him.

dress him in a one-piece coverall type outfit so that he can't get to his diaper;

try to get him on a fairly regular schedule-meals, naps, etc at the same time every day, and then you will be better able to know what time he is likely to move his bowels. keep a calm, straight face as you deal with this, two year olds like attention and you may inadvertently encourage his behavior by making lots of noise about it. show him that poop belongs in the potty and be consistent. this too shall pass. he is naturally curious at this age, and also may fear what seems to him to be losing part of himself.

Tell him no firmly. Make him sit in time out for two minutes. If that doesn't work, take him to the potty every 15 minutes or so and say poo-poo (or whatever word you use) and see if he will go once in a while.

I had a boy that would hold his poop inside until he went to bed and then he would poop and play with it. We started putting him in a one piece shirt/tshirt and then putting his pajama pants over that. Now he tells us if he poops his pants. It might be the feel of the goo that he likes. Try to get him to finger paint with real finger paint or something that he can safely eat if he isn't ready for paints like pudding. That way he will get that gooey feeling without having to play in poo. Good luck!

Make him look you in the eye and tell him no!
Also try putting him in overall and then a long shirt over the overalls so it will be harder for him to get to it

Overalls or a one piece outfit.
