We can't aim like guys can. Peeing outside can be incredibly messy if not done carefully and properly.

It's embarassing, obviously. You can't just go walking down the sidewalk and decide to drop trou and take a leak on the fire hydrant. Unless you're a dog, of course.

its a bit harder for women just to whip out things so we can pee versus a guy

I think is a little more difficult for women. Plus there is more of chance of getting it on their shoes.
