Hi Laura,
Don't worry. Earwigs are mostly harmless bugs. They do not get into ears and eat your brains like some doofusses might tell you. The best thing to do is get someone to take you into that room and show you how harmless it is, then step on it. It's called confronting your fears. No better way to get over it... trust me...
'nuff said?

I'm the same way with centipedes... and I'm an adult! When I was a kid my parents had these big huge whopping giant monster centipedes in their house and if I saw one in my room I would refuse to go in my room, even after someone killed the centipede, cause I thought there might be more like it. I don't even KNOW what I'd do if I saw one in my apartment! Anyway many people are terrified of bugs, so don't feel too weird. If you go a few days without seeing an earwig in your house, you'll find yourself forgetting about it and thinking of other things.

The ear wax will keep most bugs out of the ears. The western earwig is transported in wood shipments to the colder areas and don't last long as the cant take the cold winters.

Just ask your parents to get your room sprayed. Earwigs came be harmful.
if i were you i would sleep in your parents room too.
If you have any siblings ask them to switch rooms...lolz. Maybe switch rooms or something.
I would be terrified too. One time i saw a kid eatting an earwig at school and i think he got hospitalized, but it wasn't like serious his parents were just worried...so you have a reason to be scared

Mind over matter....sometimes our brain "tricks" us. You might have heard a myth about an earwig crawling into someones brain, but thats impossibe. Your eardrum would stop it(and if it didnt, the bug would have gotten stuck in the earwax and died). Also, if something was REALLY in your brain, you wouldnt feel it hurting.

Earwigs are harmless bugs...they don't go near your ears..they live off of plant matter

Keep a can of bug spray in your room. I do. But I sleep in the basement.

I have always slept with earplugs (very light sleeper and any sound wakes me). If you are really uncomfortable, try sleeping with ear plugs for a few nights.

Just sleep with earmuffs on and you will be fine. If you don't they will eat through your brain to get to your other ear.

Just step on it and then tell your mom that you need to get your room cleaned real well and why.
They aren't dangerous. They only look scary.
