No one is perfect and my partner is not, but he is the best peson I could have picked without putting my ideals forward first. You kind of grow together after the initial intrique and then adapt to each other. He is a tramp (in the way he dresses) and a lazy sod but I love him dearly and would be heartbroken if anything should ever happen to him. My ideal would be Johnny Depp but he would drive me to distraction with all the women running after him all the time!

He "get's" me, I know that's vague but that's the core of it. No one has ever understood me so well, he can read me better than anyone I've met and often knows what I'm thinking especially when we are around friends. We are constantly growing and learning form each other and I think we are both better people for it. He's kind, and intellectually compatible, we have similar interests. Most importantly he's my best friend, even if we had never got together we would've always been friends. I'm very lucky to have someone like him in my life.

The perfect man for me would be
smarter than me, at least on some things otherwise I would find it hard to respect him,
he'd have to be funny and understand my sense of humour,
Be a bit random, not too stuffy or too mental though,
Be motivated (I lack it, so need someone to give me a kick in the ****!),
Be a bit camp. I don't like men that are not comfortable with their sexuality. Macho men are such a turn off, I want a guy who can appreciate the fun aspect of gender and sexuality. Like having an imaginary list of celeb men they would sleep with list. for example.
Has to love children, and be good with them. I don't have kids, but a man that is good with children...I instantly fall in love.
Similar music taste to me, or stuff that I like. That's the sort of thing that would keep me with a someone.
They have to get on with my friends and have their own nice friends. (Yes I do judge people on the company they keep)
Looks Johnny Depp would do nicely or sawyer from Lost

Well, my man would need to have brains-intellectuality is one of the best assets. He'd definitely have to have a great smile- be good looking but not cocky, be of average height or so and have muscle..oh and be in the military. And be a helpless romantic and always be there for me, through the good and the bad.
