*GriN* We aren't so bad... once you realize that we are Christians...
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints... is a mouthful to say...
We have the book of Mormon... we do not worship Mormon... he was a Prophet on the American continents... and the Book of Mormon is just like the Bible.. the writings of Prophets.. except the Prophets were those here in the Americas.
Ok.. I figure you already know this.. but maybe some that read your question don't....

I have struggled with this for a long time. I cannot say that I hate or dislike the Mormon people per say, I do however hate the religion, I know a strong word. It is just how I feel. I learned everything I know about this religion from Mormons so I feel that I am fairly informed. I believe with all my heart that this is a religion that served to dominate and control peoples lives as well as justify racism and sexism. Everytime you ask a Mormon about a part in any of their teachings they say it is not translated correctly even when it is one of their books. OKAY???
It discredits what Jesus did and places them as the only perfect religion. All off of what a MAN said, and a Questionable Man at that.
Then they have this great impression of being so family oriented but I will tell you that every single person that I knew that was Mormon and I mean every single person had one of the most messed up familys around. Most of them were good Mormon girls and their mothers hated them. Seriously, no joke. Not that other religions do not have the same problems but they like to gloat about this. and then they look down on other religions and give the impression that they do not. according to them, I am a apostate.
so basically, the lies they tell their people and the fact that when you call them on something they cannot answer it or say it is a lie.
and the fact that they believe they can become GODS.
they do, ask one of them and see how they explain that one.
anyway this is a sensitive subject and obviously my opinion. so decide for yourself.

For someone who is ex-Mormon, obviously the answer would be
dislike.
How ironic to say, they are nice people, but their teaching is wrong. If the teachine produce such nice people, surely there is some good to it.
Opinion from those who do not really live in the belief is questionable. First hand info is always the best.
I am a LDS Mormon, I have been for over 30 years, never regret it, I am still working towards a better self, and I know LDS is the way to go. LDS is the most sensible people I assocate with, so
all those false info about our belief is just rediculus.

Mormon belief is based of a alleged encounter with an angel from God given to the man Joseph Smith I believe. There, this angel gave new revelations to this man, which later grew into the religion of Mormon. Many of these ideas do not line up with the Bible. Many in the Mormon belief are good, honest,God loving people, though as many, not completly within the lines of what Jesus taught. The bible says there are no "new revelations beyond the bible"

Mormons are for the most part good caring people. I was brought up as a Jehovah's Wittiness. Even thow I do not practice anymore. I know that there is good in all religion. They just do what they feel is right and tell others about there beliefs.

Mormons are good people ... defintely one of the more pleasant of the Christian denominations. Last Fall I joined with a local Mormon church for a day to help in clean up efforts following the last hurricane of the season.
I do find the garments a bit odd though. And I prefer to wear boxer briefs.

I dont dislike mormons but some in my area can really be irritating... they seem to knock on the door at the most inconvenient times then they dont wanta leave after i tell them im not interested in their message and when i tell them i have my own faith ... they wanta debate me, in which normally i dont have a problem telling people why i believe the way I do, but usually they wanta debate when im in the middle of cooking dinner or in a hurry for my job or something

I work for them. They're cool. Like all religions, they have their protractors. Mormons were founded on a book discovered in the U.S. (or so the story goes). It's a new telling of the Bible and has recieved some heat as heresy. For every yea in the world, there is a nay.

I happen to be a Mormon. Many rumours about us are false or are a misunderstood belief that we do have. Like all other people, we don't profess to be perfect, but we try to be the best we can. We believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and consider ourselves to be Christian.

I think they are genuinley good people, maybe a little mis guided, but how can I say for sure. My family on my Dads side are Mormon, much of our community is Mormon. They are kind and helpful, and dont deserve the bad rap they get.
