Well of course he does! For example, when I THINK I'm saying, "Honey, I could really use some help with the kids right now", what I'm actually saying is "Honey, you go ahead and just sit right there and pretend you don't hear or see anything but the tv or the computer. I have it all under control!" I'm so glad he's got that special hubby filter that tells him exactly what I really meant to say! He's so smart! *dripping sarcasm all over the place*

I've been married for six years, and, for the most part my partner listens to what I have to say. Sometimes he will be stubborn about an issue and will ask for my opinion but it is obvious he is not really that interested in it. I'm sure I do the same from time to time. However, our marriage would not be doing so well if we did not listen to each other's concerns and desires at least 75% of the time! I'm assuming you are asking this question because your partner is not listening to you most of the time. Perhaps you should bring this issue up with that person as a serious concern and see if you are heard. If you are not, then you need to decide if the relationship is worth remaining a part of.

No he doesn't listen. Like he listens and relates to what I have to say at the moment and then 5 seconds later he talking about something else so it's like I want to ask him sometimes " did anything i just say mean anything to you" you know what I mean. I think most guys are like that so if you are a talker good luck on finding a listener.

Sometimes I feel like my partner hears what I say, but twists the meaning sometime. I usually give in to avoid a fight, but when it really bothers me, I let him know. The main keys to a relationship is trust and communication.

Yes she does. We talk about EVERYTHING! that is the only way anyone can resolve anything. Constant communication and a listening ear can and will always ease the burdens and difficulties of relationships.

I think it all depends on what's being said. Some times guys don't like what you are saying so they pretend they can't hear or understand rather than have a discussion to figure things out jointly.

oh, most definitely yes! my chris and i listen to each other all the time. he's so loving when things get all weird or upsetting. we know w/out a doubt we can have blunt communication with each other all the time. listening is definitely a big thing with us. we rarely ever fight at all. it's great! :)

NO my EX girlfriend was a needy attention freak...who always had to talk about how "fat" she was and how "ugly" she was..just because if she wasn't complimented all the time she felt bad or some crap...I got sick of all the dumb things she would do.

My man is the best listener I've ever met. It's so refreshing to not be ignored or misunderstood.
