A good way to stop bad cramps is to first try to be active, being active on a daily basis will help relieve not only the ovulation pain but the menstrual cramps as well.
For immediate relief try raspberry tea, or a hot compression against your abdomen, also lying in a fetal position sometimes helps as well. Stay away from anything carbonated, sodas are a no no! Drink water and take a few Advil.
If you are suffering severe cramps it best to go see your doctor and they can prescribe you a hormonal pill (usually birth control) to relieve those painful cramps.

menustrual cramps? heating pad. Midol. Activity
exercise is the best thing for menstrual cramps. it lessens both the bleeding quanity and the pain but it has to be consistent during before and after the period. Not just during.
Leg cramps usually caused by overuse or electrolyte deficiency. Eat bananas, use heat and walk short distances.

apply heat or cooler temperature which ever you prefer.... pain medication (midol or tylenol), low intesity exercises, if you have consistent bad menstrual cramps: hormone therapies work, messaging the area helps like for leg cramps, If it is a repetitive stress like injury: pressure, elevation and relaxation usually help. Hope this helps.

Eat more bananas it is due to a lack of potassium. If you are on meds for insomnia though it could be restless leg syndrome ,if they feel sore and agitated.
