yes, average about 23 min for three miles in the military, so half that would be 12 1/2 min should be good, give or take a min.

The average adult walks at 2 - 3 miles per hour. The average adult can have a max speed of 20 miles per hour (i.e. full sprint). Theoretically, a human can run 1.5 miles in 4.5 minutes but no one has ever been able to maintain a speed of 20 miles per hour for 4.5 minutes. As for your heart rate, it is very subjective. How long have you been running? Do you have a family history of heart disease? Are you a sedentary individual or active? I've know marathon runners to have a pulse of 40 beats per minute, which is remarkable because most young adults have a pulse twice that amount. Bottomline, there is no way to tell until you do it.

When I was in high school we had to run a mile in 6 1/2 minutes so I would say 9 min 45 sec to 10 min 15 sec

You must not be the sharpest tool. How old you are; how much you weigh, and how often you work out makes little difference. The amount of time it would take you depends on how fast you'll be running but you left that info out. Sure your weight and age and health play a role in how fast you may be able to go or how far you will last but we still need to know how fast you'd be moving to answer this question.

You failed!
