I tell them that they are equal in dignity but not the same as a man, but they get offended by this. Do they want me to lie and tell them that they are a man?

Equality is not sameness. Men are men and women are women. Am I the only one who thinks I am being Captain Obvious for making this statement?

Good question. I personally love being a woman. I do not think that weakens me or makes me less any man. I like doors opened and politeness. I teach my sons to be gentlemen and hope that they marry ladies. I do not understand radical feminists. Some I think do not truly understand how it is to be feminine. They have grown up with this style of life. Others do want to be men or at least t be the same as men. As aggressive as dominant as men. But there are Ladies out there trying to be ladies. {My mother always told me a lady should know how to change a flat tire and a smart lady should know that she doesn't have to. Stand around helpless and some nice gentleman will help her.}

Peace Be With You,
Debra

I am considered a radical feminist but I do not see myself as radical. My belief is simply that women are as fully human as men and as such should have all the rights AND the responsibilities. I feel that is normal and not radical. However in our crazy world, that is considered radical Women are supposed to be in some crazy role that doesn't always fit them indvidually as are men. You must be confusing that with thinking they are saying they are the same as a man. No sane person would ever say that...obviously we have different bodies! I am a medical student and I know that first hand! That is simplistic kind of thinking usually propagated by simpleminded who think everything must be according to the way they were brought up or it is radical.
so perhpas when you talk to a feminist you are trying to include some type male superiority which is offensive so think on that for awhile

If you look up the definition of feminism, it means a belief that women should have the same rights as men. I'm not sure that belief is even considered radical these days. I'm also not sure what you mean by "radical feminists." Of course women and men are anatomically different. Do you know anyone who doesn't believe that? I think you are creating a straw man (I mean a straw woman).

But I love the quote from Roseanne Barr. She said that people who tell her she's not feminine enough can suck her dick.

These radical feminist types really anger me. By using the discrimination card it is THEY who are in fact doing the discriminating..
They are also a lot of the cause of the breakdown in families. Get the guy, get the house get the kid, throw the guy out ( she reckons she no longer needs him) keep the house cos of the kid, trail the guy through the court for maintenance etc etc etc. Why do they ask for maintenance ( alimony, child support etc) if they reckon they're the same ? Surely they can provide for themselves & a family if they're the same.
They have ruined a lot for us women who still believe in romance & chivalry. It is us genuine FEMININE women who are losing out as a result.
I have seen a guy be berated for holding a door open for one. I wanted to slap her.

Why would an employee have to be a "radical feminist" to want to be paid the same as a man doing the same job!?

I agree with you. Radical feminists like these give other feminists (like me) a bad name. We can DO the same kind of things a man can do, have the same intellect, etc., but we are not, ultimately, the same.

I agree with you that equality is not sameness. God didn't make two sexes to have them be exactly the same. In the home, the different attributes of masculine and feminine are needed.

Feminists do not think that they are the same as men. They do not want to BE men.

They insist that they be offered the same rights and opportunities as men, based on respective merit, regardless of gender.

Why does this threaten you so?

Sounds like a fair comment to me.

Radical feminists have done more harm than good unfortunately

No-one is equal as long as they take Affirmative Action preferences for gender or race.
