Only if they give you the password to their email address!!

It is a matter of getting their password... BUT, you could try logging on as them, and then clicking the "Forgot Password" link. Many email systems have a question about the password to help you remember what it is (ex: 'Your mother's maiden name' or something like that). If you are close enough to the person, you may be able to figure out what the password is based on the question.
