I *love* languages and I think all of them are beautiful. Even German, which is usually considered a very harsh language. But if I have to pick one, I'd say Brazilian Portuguese. It's like music. I had a Brazilian friend in Italy, and even when she spoke Italian, it sounded like she was singing. French is musical too, but I think Portuguese is by far the most musical language I've ever heard -- the most beautiful one in terms of sound.

I completely agree that Spanish is amazing and beautiful. When I was younger, I didn't like Spain Spanish either (just Latin American Spanish), but now I love Spanish accents, too! They just sound very natural to me, now. But the truth is that I could listen to anyone say anything in any variant of Spanish for days on end.

As I've gotten more interested in linguistics over the past few years, I have to say that I'm fascinated by all languages. When spoken by a native speaker, any language sounds instantly beautiful to me. The only type of language I don't like is when someone speaks a language that is foreign to them, and they obviously have no respect for it. It shows in the effort they put into their accent and into getting their vocabulary and grammar correct.

Spanish and Cantalonian are really beautiful, I like the sound of them most out of the languages I've heard. :)

I think tonal languages like Vietnamese and Putonghua/Mandarin Chinese sound beautiful just because of the melodic ring to them. Romance languages don't do it for me at all. I prefer Germanic languages to Romance languages anyday, but that's probably because I use 4 of them regularly (English Dutch Friesian and German) so I'm very biased.

Well it used to be castellano for me , since I spoke it, the argentinian thing. But now that I live in the US the way other argentinians talk is just wired. I was talking to my cousin the other day and I thought it was just odd, I didnt like it at all, he didnt talk like that before I moved. I guess that question depends on what language you are used to hearing. Basically every language sound wired to me... no music to my ears...

Of course, it depends on whose speaking... but last January when I spent ten days in Brasil, there was not a moment when Portuguese did not sound gorgeous. So sexy!
