As dognhorsemom said, no, it does not fit the legal definition. Specifically, it has to be a factual claim in order to be false. If I said that George W. Bush accepted sexual favors from Donald Trump in exchange for promoting a tax break, I am claiming that a certain event happened. In reality, such an event almost certainly has never happened. If I made that claim to another party, and that claim results in damage to Mr. Bush's or Mr. Trump's reputation, I could be held liable.

On the other hand, if I said that Hillary Clinton is a raging bee-yotch, that's a matter of opinion. That's not a factual claim, and does not fall within the legal definition of slander or libel. Claims of racism fall much more toward the opinion side than the factual side, as only the Minute-men know their true motivation.

Side note: since I am presenting the menage-a-billionaires as a hypothetical event, and specifically stating later that it probably did not happen, that too is outside the bounds of slander or libel.

I don't know if it's "slander",but just look at the SOURCES of the PREVARICATION (LYING) about the Minutemen!!!!!!

It ONLY comes from ILLEGALS and their supporters!! What does this tell us??? That they have NOTHING ELSE to fight us with, except "you're a racist", the "Minutemen are racist". Anyone who doesn't AGREE with THEM are "racists".
I don't know how MANY times i have seen people on here say, "Yeah, those Minutemen are racist, they shoot people."!! What a load of CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are they so STUPID,that they don't realize that if one of the Minutemen actually DID "shoot somebody", the liberal news media would splash it all over the HEADLINES??!! And, the ACLU would be right there to SUE!!!! Talk about SHEEP, these people will believe ANYTHING!!!!!!!

HEY,ILLEGALS SUPPORTERS, I've got some ocean front property in Arizona!!!!!!!! Want to BUY it????

We're back to throwing the race card again...there are issues of racism, but from what I can tell, the Minutemen are not a race-hate group. I'd like to see more clarification on that, too, I'd like to see em go on national TV and explain more about their members/membership requirements, so that their critics can see for themselves that this isn't the case. I'd also like to see the Border Patrol do its' job. Further, I'd like to see the country of Mexico start asking its' citizens to return home. But, the odds on that one are pretty long, as this IS a money deal for Mexico, the more workers they've got in america sending money home, the better it is for them. When you start talking money, all bets are off, the gloves come off, and the lies begin. People are people,
and a majority of em are motivated by plain old greed. There is no level too low in this game...I'd also forward the opinion that racism is alive and well in america today, and most heavily promoted as a way of doing business among so-called 'minorities'. It's the 'wounded-bird' thing, mama bird plays wounded to draw the attackers away from the nest...I really hope that city councils across the country are paying attention on this one...

It is not slander. But, that is the only thing the uninformed can think of is racist. They are more racist when things don't go there way. I am glad I do not dwell in that river of denial they are drowning in. I have yet to see proof that Minutemen are racist and murderers. I find that lame attempt to shut them up or create bias towards them immature and stupid.

The Minutemen are NOT RACIST. That is a word the Mexicans throw around all the time to anyone who does not agree with them on this issue. The way they say it, I suppose you could call it slander.

Suppose someone refers to the Minute-men as MORONS. Is THAT slander? I guess I'm guilty of calling the racists morons. MORONS

Yes they are. A vigilante group that targets Mexicans is racist in my opinion. Sounds a lot like the Klan.

No. Look up the legal definition of "slander."

slander n. oral defamation, in which someone tells one or more persons an untruth about another which untruth will harm the reputation of the person defamed.

Only if they can prove that being called racist has caused them damage in some way. Peace.

Thus, if the KKK opened up their membership to all races, but continued lynching African-Americans, by your "logic" they wouldn't be racist either.
