Believe it or not, not all cats like catnip! Those that do have a "Catnip gene," which predisposes them to go nuts over the stuff. Some cats just roll in it; others eat it. They may act spaced out, run around like they're high, or get aggressive and bite or scratch. Sounds like your cat is in the latter category. Give him a small amount a few times a week and let him do his thing. He'll have fun and it won't hurt him. Let him enjoy himself, but keep your hands and face away from him so you don't get scratched or bitten.

Most cats love cat nip. It does have a tendancy to make them a little spastic sometimes. Just monitor how much you are giving them.

I give cat nip to my 3 cats and they lay on the ground and roll in it and then run all over. It is fun for them and doesn't harm them

It's natural. Cats are half wild and the cat nip seems to really spark that wildness in them. Careful you don't get bit.

No that's normal. Cats get a little agressive with catnip, but its nothing to worry about.
