The only thing about it is that we have only been going out for a week! I dont know though cuz he has liked me for a little while before he asked me out! Is he just sayin that cuz his friends say it? Why is he sayin it so soon?

There's no telling. Maybe he's loved you from afar for a long time. However, telling someone you love them the first week, is a little quick.
Take it slow, and don't let his "confession" make you feel like you need to say it in return. If he asks why you don't say it back, tell him you think it's a little soon and you don't say "I love you" unless you really mean it.

The only way to find out is to ask him. As it is; you seem shy to talk to him but there's no reason to be. You have to be yourself and tell him whatever is bothering you. Of course it seems very soon but having said this, it happened this way for me and I've been happily married every since: However I was 33 at the time and he was 40 so we had experience. Hence maybe the reason why someone asked you how old you are.

honestly most men only say it so that they can get what they want. I learned that one from a male friend of mine that did not want to see me get hurt no more. You can tell that he really loves you if u watch his actions and how he treats you and really look in his eyes when he says it. But after a week hunny i am sorry but it is probably just infatuation true love takes time and a lot of effort to acheive and trust me it is a lot of hard work and trust.

It is perfectly healthy to wait until you are 16 to even start dating. 8th grade is WAY to young to start pairing off. Cool it and don't be sorry.
You can be friends, but don't even start getting intimate. No kissing, no petting, you know what I'm talking about.
8th graders can and do get pregnant and it will totally ruin your life. No sex until after highschool and you are MARRIED.

By the sounds of it, you are too young to have a boyfriend. Boys tell girls they love them this soon so the girl will give him sex. Once they get it they leave.

its hard to say how long it takes somebody to fall in love its different for everybody. some say just one look is all it takes. but do be careful if he starts asking you for sex. its a good way to get sex and then leave when somebody say they love you.

at my school, the second they get together, its an automatic "i love you" im in 8th grade so maybe its a teen thing? if ur a teen
