Contrary to the belief of the other posters, cats do, indeed, get Parvovirus. It's more commonly known as Panleukopenia virus or Distemper virus (waaayyy wrong) of cats because it suppresses the entire white blood cell line (lymphocytes, neutrophils, monocytes, etc.) Pan=all, leuko=white, penia=lowered or deficient. The symptoms of feline parvovirus can be vomiting and a creamy diarrhea or some will simply die with no symptoms at all. Vets have a test for canine parvovirus that works in some cases of feline parvo to diagnose the disease. Either way, supportive care is paramount to curing the kitty. Fluids given in the vein through a catheter, with antibiotics, and drugs to help control the vomiting and diarrhea are central in the supportive care. Even if your kitty doesn't have parvo, these measures will help it recover from the debilitation of vomiting and diarrhea of most causes.
There is a vaccine for Cat Parvo (it's the "P" portion of the FVRCP vaccine that is given to kittens starting at about 8 weeks of age and repeated every 3 or 4 weeks until they are 4 months old. The vaccine does a really good job of protecting kitties from this deadly virus and if your kitty had it's vaccinations on schedule and is now 5 months old, it should be very well protected and parvo is much less likely.

Take it to the vet! Until you can get there though try giving it a tablespoon of Peptobismal. This is not easy to do.Try to get it towards the back of the throat where it has to swallow.Make sure you wash and sanitize your hands after cleaning up any messes it might make.I contracted a virus called H.Pylori from my cat.(treatable but ohhh the stomach pain!)Hope this works for you!♥

Parvo virus is in dogs...not cats....there are many reasons why your cat isnt eating...you need to take it to the vets as soon as you can...like in the morning unless you have a 24hr vet hospital around you

It's hard to say what could be wrong with him. He may have worms. Get him to a Vet as soon as possible. If he keep this up, he will get dehidrated, and that will make things a lot worse. Good luck and I hope the kitty is feeling better.

possibly the gravy is scary his tummy, you ought to attempt man or woman jelly foodstuff (whiskas do one). we've 2 cats (which we've had from kittens and they are now interior the naughty 2's) and they are the option, they're truly humorous about eating the foodstuff in jelly, yet love the gravy. you could also attempt only putting him onto dry cat biscuits for some days to settle his abdomen as they're a lot less wealthy than moist foodstuff. you may want to feed a cat a mixture of moist foodstuff and biscuits besides to furnish him a balanced foodstuff plan, in addition they help with their the teeth. desire your cat feels extra proper quickly, if no longer take him to the vets as you do not opt to probability it being some thing nasty like a abdomen trojan horse.
