Asalam alaikum...I feel blessed to have reverted to Islam , however I live in a place with very very few Muslims where is a good Islamic community in the USA or Canada?

what I mean by Islamic community is not where most people are muslim ( that would be nice though) but where there are muslims in substantial numbers, an islamic center, masjid, etc.

Apologizing for the rude.
If you can stand the noise Toronto Ontario has a good sized population and enough varieties that you should be able to find a place to fit in. There are centres in every Canadian city, Edmonton is booming,lots of jobs(housing prices are high)and at least three mosques that I know of(I am not Muslim). The rudeness and ignorance seems to be fairly low here. Calgary is busy too but more redneck American in how they act.
You might like to make enquiries about Canada. You can get in touch with the consulate and you can contact Muslim centres over the Internet or by phone

Any major city in the United States will have an Islamic community with at least one Masjid. In the state I live now there are 2 Masjids in the city I live another 30 miles away and 4 more 60 miles away.
Personally my family will be soon moving to Houston, TX. There is a large Muslim community there.

I would just like to congratualate you on your recent reversion. I hear Dearborn Michigan has the largest Muslim community in the USA, and Montreal in Canada has a very large population of Muslims. I also recently reverted to Islam, alhamdoulilah, and I find that my small community is just perfect, since everyone knows everyone else and is very accepting. From what I hear, places with larger communities tend to be have isolated groups based on national origin (which is not really correct in true Islamic teaching, since we believe in absolute racial equality). Just be sure to make some good Muslim friends, 'cuz sometimes I find that to be my greatest blessing. I hope I have helped you! God bless!

I hear Dearborn, Michigan is a great place for Muslims ... I think it's supposed to be one of the largest communities in the US ... it's actually called 'America's Muslim Capitol'

deerborn, michigan has the largest population of Muslims in one community. however wherever u r, just look for the local mosque. im sure there r large muslim communities in every state. cali, texas, and probably new york r good. i live in colorado and theres a great muslim community here in many of the cities.

Dearborn, Michigan would fit the bill for you. It's home to a majority of the nation's Muslim population. That is a suburb of Motown (Detroit), mind you.

i heard hudston, texas is a very nice for islamic community and there are masjids and five time prayers on the loud speakers ...wow can you imagine tht.
