Dont buy a crock pot, use the oven. The roasting bag is the ideal thing for you, I marinate mine, then add to the bag, and they are unbelievable. Now you could also do it in a covered roasting pan with out the bag.
My marinade is this...
Lemon pepper
salt
pepper
olive oil
crushed garlic
fresh parsley
Add your roast and all that to a large ziploc and keep in fridge for up to 2 days.
Just go ahead and use the oven without the roasting bag, get a deep roasting pan w/lid, add the roast and the extra juices from the bottom of the bag to it, add 1 can low sodium chicken broth and pop in the oven for 6 hours at 250. About once an hour check to make sure you still have juice in the pan, if not, add more broth.
I hope this works out for you
AND REMEMBER, DO NOT BE POKING AT THE THE THING ALL DAY, LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!!!!!!! IT DOESNT NEED YOU!!!! AND WHEN YOU TAKE IT OUT OF THE OVEN DO NOT CUT IT RIGHT THEN!!!!!!!! LET IT REST FOR AT LEAST 10 MINUTES ON A CUTTING BOARD (WOODEN, NOT PLASTIC)

Oh this is easy! Get a shoulder roast of pork. Put it on a huge sheet of tinfoil - or patch two together - you need it to be waterproof. Sprinkle a package of onion soup mix on top - the one that makes four servings, not the individual - and seal the whole thing up really tight. Now put it in a pot, or frying pan with metal handle, and toss it in the oven at 300 degrees. Leave it for at least six hours, eight is fine too, and don't peek.
Now just open it up - CAREFULLY, there will be a lot of gravy - and you can cut it with a spoon. You can play around with this by adding spices like cumin or oregano, or sliced mushrooms, or fresh onions, whatever... if you do get a crock pot you skip the tinfoil business and add some liquid like a can of cream of mushroom soup, or tomatos, or red wine, or apple juice. This is true bachelor cooking and very impressive. Serve with rice or smashed potatos to soak up all the juice.

we always boil the roast for about half an hour or so at a rolling boil on the stove. Next, put it into a baking pan lined with foil and pour in a cup of water (this is important to keep the moisture in) Put your seasonings on and then cover with foil. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour or longer. Keep checking it to make sure you dont overcook. The pork should be browned on the outside and white on the inside when fully cooked. I always use liptons onion soup mix for seasoning pork or beef roast.......also, invest in a crock pot....its sooooo worth the 20 bucks!!! Good luck.
boiling the roast first cuts your baking time in half.

Pork Roast
Pre-heat your oven to 300 degrees.
place about 4 tablespoons of olive oil in your dutch oven and get it hot.
season your roast with garlic powder, salt, pepper and some rosemary. Slather the outside of the roast with dijon mustard and place in the hot oil to brown the outside of the roast. this is the most important step as it seals the outside of the roast so that the juices stay inside the roast.
quarter a medium onion and place it in the pot with the roast.
once the roast is browned, add about 2 cups of water and some veggie boullion, and bay leaf (about 3 leaves) to the pot.
cover your pot with it's matching lid and place in the oven, let it cook for about 5 hours, check it every hour to make sure you don't need to add any water. after 5 hours check to see if it is beginning to come apart, if not, leave it in the oven for a bit longer just remember to check it often so that you don't over cook it.
how long it will take to cook will depend most upon what size roast you start with.

No need to even use the oven. Place in a pot with 1-2 cups of water on the stove on low heat. Cover. It will take about 4-6 hours but it will fall apart when it is done.
You can put any kind of seasonings you want on it while it is cooking( I use season salt, garlic salt, italian seasoning)
About an hour before you are ready to eat, you can also make a gravy if you like.... add 1/2 cup water to the pot. Remove the meat. Stir in 1/2 cup flour to the drippings...stir well. Add 2 cups chicken broth, stir until no longer clumpy and then add the meat back to the pot. You can also add cooked potatoes and carrots if you like.

Roasting pork is easy especially if you want it to be tender and juicy or.. soft.
Rinse the pork under the sun so the skin will be mroe crispy.
Cut the meat for a balance roast out in oven and easily get cooked
If possible put some salt to increase the taste
Make sure it is roasted in 180deg and 30-40mins.

this is a time consuming process and should be done as a Sunday meal, or a day you have and extra 5 hours. i more than half cover mine with a homemade special sauce. Cook at at 300 covered for 1-1 1/2 hours then uncover for maybe 3 hours. I just go in and check it to see if it needs more time(sometimes an extra hour). the liquid has gone down to 1/3, and i use it to pour over the meat after we break it up. Good Luck.

You can slow roast it in the oven at around 300 degrees for around 5 hrs. Keep the bottom filled with water, keep basting it in those juices the water helps to make and keep it covered. It would be way easier just to go to Walmart and spring the 25 bucks for the crockpot. The results with a crockpot are never fail fall apart tender. I like to baste mine with white wine.
