made sure her i d and socioal security were correct and yet the majority of the people working there dont have papers and they say it with pride how is it they get hired in these big companys so easy and yet with legal people they make it all legal .who may i contact about this problem and do you think the main boss is in on it ?

I most certainly think that the "higher ups" at the company are aware that they are hiring illegal workers. They would have to be total idiots not to, and if they were, they probably wouldn't be in the position they're in. It's like those Enron people trying to play dumb - they're not. Unfortunately, this is a common problem that is plaguing us. In California you can contact the labor board, but don't expect to get much support. Write your govenor and tell them you want companies who hire illegals punished by law and then at voting time make sure you are supporting the laws in favor of punishing companies that hire illegals.

a lot of it depends on social security numbers when they start getting a certain pattern of numbers they contact the company, I think that is like 18 months or more or less. Many of these people simply do not care and the most common statement is we are not the government, we are not suppose to enforce immigration laws. Contact the INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service). They're listed in your phone book under the federal government pages or you can go to their website. It's probably www.ins.gov or something like that.
And I'm sure those at the top of the company are aware of what's going on. They have to approve payroll after all.

Report them to INS and more importantly convince your friend to go to the press. That's a hot story and would embarrase the company into cracking down right away if it hits the news.

I seen it before, I worked for a huge corporation, and they hired illegal immigrants all the time, every one knew it... no one could do any thing about it.
Illegal aliens are perfect disposable employee , plus they can not unionize... Thats why big corporations love to employee them.
and thus, they take a humanitarian stance as they slowly choke out our rights , that we haved worked so hard to obtain.

The illegals currently have more rights than American citizens. The Senate wants to give them even more.

Call your local INS! I would! even if the illegals don't get deported they will at least get fired and the business will be fined .
