show him how to build sand castles at the beach, toss a ball back and forth to him. Look it up on a site for the books and reading levels, usually scholastics usually helps, building blocks, some learning games, puzzles, trucks and trains...etc...I'm sure you get the idea...oh even some activities like drawing, coloring, or even painting...I did that with my 2 daughters when they were 2 and they both love ART! They are good at it too! Imagination, just try and think what you liked to do at that age...or what you would like to do at that age....

My son is 5 and at your son's age he loved going to swimming lessons. We read one book every night before bed. For night time activities maybe you could make an easy snack together, or just take a walk together. Whatever you do, treasure these moments...they go by way to quickly. My advice is what you do doesn't matter as much as the fact that you are spending time together!!

He can build sandcastles on the beach. As for readings, bring him to your local bookstore and go through some of the picture books. Activities at night? Some local parks have 'Movies at the Park' once it gets dark outside.

Check out toddler storytime at the library. Find (or start) a play group with other mothers with weekly activities.

camp for preschoolers. my twin girls love their camp.
read him picture books alot.
you can take him out to dinner, but just to kid-friendly places with a kid's menu. he's not old enough to be forced into eating what's put in front of him.
