Most verticals have a removable clip that pulls out of the gear. If the clip is intact (if it is still holding the vanes, it probably is), you can probably force the peg back into alignment with the others. It can be a little unnerving because there is the possibility that it may break, but MOST of the time...it can be forced back and work perfectly just by pinching and twisting. (FYI: It may or may not be a replaceable part depending on the brand.) In reality, though, it is already broken, so there is not much to lose by trying. I certainly would feel comfortable doing it own my own.

One of the most appealing factors offered by vertical blinds is their ability to remain clean. When horizontal blinds are installed, they easily collect dust and dirt, while the smooth surface of vertical blinds helps to minimize the dust collection. This helps keep the blinds looking cleaner, much longer. The variety of materials that blinds come in allows you to choose the blind that is most suitable for you in terms of both price and style. For example, if your living room contains wooden furniture, you can complement the room by installing wooden blinds.

Vertical blinds are the worst, hang up a sheet till you get some draperies or curtains.

I have the same problem. I got mine down and there is a plastic tooth broken on them. I moved then to the very end and put the end ones in the middle where the bad ones were.

It is less noticeable on the end.
