No. Real death experiences are when ones mind stop working due to illness or injury.

Not from personal friends no, but I've heard about them from other evangelists and Christians whom I trust. I'm not sure exactly what happens during them or even completely why they happen, but here is my thought. I think God wants so desperately for us to love him and be with him eternally that he might show people who are close to death a glimpse of what is to come.

I've heard people do not always see "the light" either. Some people have the "Hell" experience. One evangelist that I know of played basketball with Charles Barkley when they were in college. Charles Barkley's brother had a heart attack once and flat lined. He was considered dead for those few moments. His story continues though, while that happened he saw his own body, saw all the doctors, and even wandered to the waiting room and could tell you what the people were wearing, and what they were saying (while he was supposed to be flat lined). Then he immediately when to a place that was dark and on fire. He said he saw lakes of fire, trees on fire, and darkness that was only lit up by the fire. He saw people with burning flesh, and when the flesh burned off, it would just regrow, and then burn off again. He said it felt more real, and more intense than any feeling he had ever had on earth. Then after that he came back and was alive again on the operating table.

I trust this source and you can go to www.markcahill.org to read more about the evangelist and all.

Anyways, some people have the heaven experience while others may have the hell experience. Others might have no experience at all. Is God trying to tell them something about where they may be going? Who knows, I just know that God is very patient and very loving, he wants us to trust in His son Jesus Christ who has saved us all from that eternal Hell experience, if we will believe.

Hope this is insightful.
Peace, Thomas

When I was younger, maybe in Kindergarten, I lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As people who have lived there now know, Albuquerque houses some of the stupidest and most idiotic drivers known to man.
My dad, then, drove a 1988 Dodge Ram (this was 1998). We were driving across the intersection when a speeding truck ran the red light at 70 MPH. It was inches from hitting us. It hit the minivan behind us and killed two people.

Talk about scary. Also, talk about a miracle.
I thank god everyday that I am still here today.

xoxoKylie

I did a 180 in my car about 4 months ago. I reacted so quickly that I surprised myself. I kept on singing along with my music and everything.. It happened so fast and afterwards I was so astonished with what had happened I had to pull over and take a few deep breaths.

Very crazy. Don't know if I would have died though.

The reason I did the 180 was because someone ran down a stop sign and I didn't know there was an intersection coming up.

I got ill suddenly, and was unconscious for 5-6 days. My blood pressure was very low. Kidneys were failing, I was getting puffy, and then things turned around and I started improving. You wake up in the hospital and don't even know where you are, what year it is, what month it is, etc. But everyone around me had big smiles.

Once I got a subdural hematoma (A type of head bleed) from a roller coaster. Apparently it was very serious... but it wasn't found for a while, after it had started to subside. It's probably not what you're looking for, but it did almost kill me.

If you mean one of those religious out of body stuff, that's bullshit your mind makes up while you're unconcious.
