I am a single work at home mom. I basically stay away from carbs as much as possible from starchy foods that is. I eat a lot of fish, chicken breast, vegetables, salads. etc. and take multivitamins. For breaskfast, I usually eat an omellette with onion, peppers, mushrooms, chicken, and just a little bit of cheese. Keeps me full until lunch time. It takes me about 15 minutes to make breaskfast before the kids gets up. I keep the onions and green peppers chopped up in a sealed bowel in the fridge. They last me about a week. When I buy chicken breasts, I freeze each piece separately so I can thaw out what I want when I need it. Usually 2 at a time. One for breakfast and 1 for lunch or dinner. I also do the same with fish. I either put the chicken in a pan with some Old Bay or put it on a broiler pain at 350 with Old Bay 8-10 minutes on each side. When I make a salad, i try to bulk it up as much as I can so that I am not starving an hour later by putting up sliced up Buddig turkey (low carb and low fat), the kind you buy in the store in the packages, or chicken, tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, anything low carb but filling and healthy. Frying up a piece of fish in a pan with just a little olive oil and Old Bay seasoning is very quick and easy. (yes, I do love Old Bay) I buy the new microwavable vegetable bags that are out now because they are quick and easy. When your eating dinner, just stay away from the mashed potatoes and noodles (starchy foods). My kids are older now and everyone just pretty much grabs whatever but when we do eat together, I cook the same meal I normally would, I just eat more veggies and meat and stay away from the taters. I always keep some tuna salad made up in the fridge just in case I don't have time to cook lunch. Something else that is really good and refreshing on a hot summer day is Linguini salad. Use the low carb spaghetti (Dreamfields which tastes just as good as regular spaghetti, can't tell the difference at all), cook it up and rinse with cold water, add 1 bottle low-fat or low carb, whichever you prefer, italian dressing, chopped up tomatoes and cucumbers (however many you like) or you can add chopped up black olives too, and add a bottle of Salad Supreme then mix it all up and store it in the fridge. Low fat, low carb, healthy, and lasts all week in the fridge. Great for a snack between meals. I also keep some Jenny-O turkey or turkey ham sliced up in the fridge so if I need a snack, I grab a few pieces to munch on. Basically, you need to do a little planning and preparation ahead of time when you do have free time and the kids are in bed. I pretty much eat all day long but hardly any carbs. I know some people don't believe in the low carb thing and say it is not healthy but some people also do not realize that there are a lot of low carb ways to eat without adding a bunch of grease to your diet. You don't cut out all the carbs, just the ones from sugar and starch. My cholesterol and triglycerides significantly improved when I started cutting out the carbs from sugars and starches. I had a lot of stomach problems as well and was always in pain with a very tender abdomen. My children could not even touch my stomach without me cringing in pain. I went to a GYN and a Gastroenterologist and they could not figure out what was wrong with me. When I started eating this way, within a week, all those problems went away. Of course, everyone if different.
Regarding exercise:
Even though it is hot during the day because it is summer, the days are longer so you can take a walk or workout in the evening or early morning while we have daylight but it is much cooler and your husband can watch the kids for a little bit. I live in the country and my driveway is as long as a football field so I get up early in the morning and walk up and down it for about half an hour or after dinner. That way, I am close to the house and can keep an eye on the kids. Anything you can do to work your cardio for any length of time will help. There are quite a few exercise programs on TV in the morning you can work out too. I always stretch as soon as I get up (okay well I go to the bathroom first). I stretch and do a little cardio and use my 5 pound barbells every few days. It wakes you up better than a cup of coffee and makes you feel good about yourself enough that it makes the rest of the day a lot easier to get through. When you feel good about yourself, it makes changing the way you eat a lot easier. Another thing that helps is writing down what you eat. Sometimes You might grab something to munch on but when you go to write it down and see all the healthy stuff you have been eating, it makes you think twice about it and makes you not want to ruin all the hard work you have been doing.
I have been raising my kids on my own for 17 years and I was very overweight for a long time. I lost 50 pounds a few years back and have kept it off. I have never deprived myself and never really worked out too much, just some walking a few days a week even if it is just for 15 minutes. If I am cooking dinner or waiting on something, I do pushups against the countertop, anything any free moment I have. Before I leave the bathroom after putting on my make up or going to the bathroom, I do a few sets of pushups against the bathroom counter or if your bathroom is big enough, do a few sets of leg lifts. It adds up if your in the bathroom a lot which you should be because your drinking your 8 glasses of water!!.
Bottom line is, you have to make time for yourself and do a little planning ahead. When you see an opportunity, take it. Kids are napping, work out. Kids are outside riding their bike, ride with them. Playing hopscotch, play with them. Jumprope, anything........As much as you might be tired during the day because the kids are running you ragged, keep up with them and do your resting when it is time to go to bed. Not only do you get the exercise but you get to spend a lot of fun time with the kids instead of it being a stressfull time because you know kids all think we grownups are silly when we are doing those kinds of things and it makes it fun. You will start to feel better and have a lot more energy to deal with them. I know it is hard to find time for youself when you have a family to take care of, but it is something you just have to do. Don't foget about yourself!!!!

Weight Watchers is the best. Its the motivion that helps with the weight loss. You can join online or a group. I started 2 months ago and I had never been on a diet and I've lost 15 pounds so far. You can eat anything you want as long as you count it. Food used to be my guilty pleasure, now I'm eating fruit, veggies, anything, and enjoying it. Also I heard on 60 minutes I think that not eating after a certain time is just a myth. A calorie is calorie no matter when you eat it, its just people eat more of what they shouldnt at night and go over their calorie intake. But weight watchers should be a good answer, besides being a stay at home mom, its a good way to interact with other women. Its like $35 to join and $13 a week, which I know I would be spending on pizza or something. Good luck whatever you do!

Diet and exercise are the only way to do it. All other fad diets don't work in the long term. You need to get obsessed with eathing nothing but healthy foods. You need to change your lifestyle. Buy a treadmill, a good one - like a Nordic Track, it will be well worth the investment if you stick to it. Work up your stamana to about 4 miles and try to do that every day even if it is just a fast paced walk. If you go 4 miles an hour, you will be done in one hour obviously. You will definitely see the pounds start to melt off you. And, once you get you used to doing it all the time, you crave it when you can't. You will love feeling great!!! Good luck and best wishes!

YOU CAN DO THIS! The first step is realizing that you want to see a change. Find something that you like to do that also involves some sort of exercising. I find that dance classes worked really well for me and I love learning new dances.
Minimize the portions of what you eat and add a lot more healthy vegetables to your diet. So, if your watching tv, don't grab a bowl of popcorn or potato chips, go for a bag of carrots, etc.
Even if it's just a 30 minute walk a night. Do it for yourself. It'll help you get out of the house and just either be by yourself to collect your own thoughts or walk with someone special and share that moment of peace with them.
It may be hot, but keep your mind focused on the goal and BE CONSISTENT...you'll see results before you know it!

You're 115 lbs. and you're 5'1? I gotta tell you, that doesn't sound fat to me. I wouldn't mess around with losing weight at your age. You might still have a growth spurt left and your body is going to need everything you've got to use as building blocks. Anyway, only eating 4 meals in two weeks and puking those up is VERY bad for you. It sounds like you're developing an eating disorder. Also, starving yourself will only slow down your metabolism and make it harder to lose weight. The human body is designed for survival. If you deprive it of food, it assumes that there is no food available and tries to conserve the nutrients you have left by slowing your metabolism. Sounds like your parents have problems of their own. Is there someone you can talk to like a school guidance counselor or a favorite aunt? As far as your diet, I would suggest cutting out sugary snacks and fast food. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, get plenty of exercise, but not the eight-hour-a-day obsessive kind. Find some NEW friends and go play a sport of some kind, or go bike riding. The best advice I can give you though is to be comfortable with who you are and accepting of your own body, whether you are thin or fat or in between. I am very good friends with and have fallen in love with women who are considered overweight by today's unrealistic standards. I'm attracted to them because they are nice, witty, intelligent people. And sometimes all a woman needs to be physically attractive is a friendly smile. Go forth and be yourself, and make friends with people who like that self!

It is a very sad feeling I know first hand. And to be totally honest it takes the welling to want to do it. There is no magic pill out there, cut the fat out of your eating. And don;t call it going on a diet, call it a change in life style. And workout. I had to do it and still am. I was very unhappy being fat, but i was waiting for it to melt away and me do nothing. Not going to happen. Drank alot of water.
And you will be surprised the results that you can get. Hope all goes well for you.

Homeopathic Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !

Try keeping a food diary, you'd be suprised how much you eat when you put everything down, eating fruits and veggies is good but don't overdo that too, fruits have some sugar in them.
Learn to love water!!!!
