I'm hoping for an a good answer because I'm currently with someone that doesn't mind me drinking but they hate the smell of alcohol in my breath when I drink which most of the time it lasts about 3 to 5 hours and sometimes 6 hours in my breath.

id recommend dial it back before a problem starts, but if your keeping it under control and NOT DRIVING id recommend brushing your teeth with some heavy mouthwash gargling, and I read somehwere cloves take out the smell from your breath and can help settle your stomach.

Breath mints maybe, but probably not. Anyone with any sense of smell will smell the alcohol if you drink more than 2 or 3 drinks. Drinking light liquor instead of dark does not work.

This one you wont like but its the answer.
Go to the gym and hit some weights, after that work up a sweat doing 30-40 minutes of cardio. This will sweat the crap out of your body the fastest. The reason you lift weights first is because you will have you heart rate higher before you hit the machine, and sweat out more quickly. its equal to 40-60 minutes without the warm up

Brush and floss then eat a whole bag of Doritos. Continue snacking on them throughout the day. Dorito breath trumps anything you could possibly detect! It's great to soak up acid and leftover alcohol. Also the fat in the chips coats and sooths your tummy. Great tasting too!

Altoids Mints are good but the California rat Patrol told me in 1981 that eating Sunflower Seeds in the hull would take the breath away and also make the breather analyzer read very, very low. tried it, works. eat shell and all.

I agree with a previous answerer that cloves do clean one's breath. So, it could perhaps solve even the alcohol case!

Oh I know I hate when that happens! I sometimes chew gum
while I'm drinking. Spearmint works for me.
