Based on he passage below, do you think Jesus would be pleased with all the so-called Christians working to hard to deny gay people the rights everyone else enjoys? Are all these people sin-less and can now worry about the sins of gay people?

In Mathew 7, Jesus says,

3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. Don't get mad; I may not express myself perfectly here but try to understand my heart because I am a Christian who hates no one, but nonetheless identifies homosexuality as sin.

Consider this for a moment. One fellow flies into a fit of rage and kills someone and goes to prison; he is sorry; he wishes he hadn't done it; he acknowledges it as wrong and in our system he is punished. Another fellow, however, does not fly into a fit of rage. Instead, he kills someone because it feels good and when he is caught, he does not feel sorry, but proudly calls himself a killer, says that killing is okay and that we should accept him.

Now obviously homosexuality is NOT murder, so don't project that onto me; this is not a comparison I am making. What I am pointing out is that the first man sinned and rather than justify it and call it part of his self-embraced identity, he is honest and calls himself wrong. The second fellow commits the same sin, but he takes it far further. Rather than seeing his error, he embraces his error and identifies it as RIGHT because after all, it felt good and he's allowed to feel good.

Homosexuality is no worse than any other sexual sin, such as adultery or any kind of fornication. The issue with homosexuality is that when you say you are "gay" you have defined your entire personhood, your entire identity based upon what stimulates you sexually, thus placing your sexuality ahead of any consideration of God or anything else. By saying you are gay and proud of it, you are not saying that you prefer sex with the same sex; you are saying that sexuality is what defines you. As such, you cannot claim to be defined by God's will or claim to be doing it, because you have stated plainly that your sexuality is as deep as you can be as a person.

That's not what this passage is about. This passage is talking about people who point out other people's sin or worry about other people's sin, when you have the same sin yourself. Jesus is saying to get your life right and repent for your own sins before you worry about anyone else. It's like a gay person telling a gay person that being gay is wrong. That's hypocritical. That's what Jesus is talking about. He's saying don't be hypocritical.

Are people calling you gay? is that your problem? are you reading into the narrow gate the wrong way? (Thats a joke) yea its definitewly been chopped up a bit, but the goos stuff is still there, hey, " Cause you know that sometimes words have two meanings " once you learn how to use a mirror properly, you too will see, all that glitters is not gold. Just pretend your sitting on death row and carry a pocket mirror and look at stuff and see how much you see that stays the same way. Hey plus u will look kool man just escaping death row...trust me your world will fall apart, keep all that stays the same, remember stupid indians who looked at reflections at all angles when europeans first arrived. I can't speak for others, only myself. The difference between my thinking and your scripture is that I don't try to tell gay people how wrong they are, nor do I hate them. I don't support their lifestyle and I'll do what I can to uphold God's definition of marriage, that it should only be between a man and a woman. I will also follow God's Command when he says, love the sinner but hate the sin. I have not tried to remove the speck from his eye, only tried to live up to God's commands the best I can, myself.

Well lets look at it this way He wiped out Sodom and Gomorah because they were practicing homosexuality and if you think that this was fiction go to http://www.bibleplus.org/discoveries/sodomfound.htm

so I don't have to think about the plank is in my eye but I am concerned about the soul of others who don't except bible teaching and believe it. Some of the diseases can not be contained and are passed on to the next generation and the generation after that.
All of this has a way of effecting future generations.

I really doubt that Jesus meant that gays should get married. Have you ever heard the saying "two wrongs don't make a right?" Some religious groups believe salvation means a free ticket. But in the end it's all about the spiritual not the physical. "Blessed are those who make everyone elses problems their own and cursed are those who make theirs everyone elses". Who's your Lordy?

Romans 2:1 would be a better passage to quote. Jesus did not appoint any of us to point fingers at anyone for their sins, it is the Holy Spirit that convicts us not each other, however it is up to those who believe in the word of God, to inform others of God's word. As far as Homosexuality is concerned, God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for this very reason. Read Chapter 19 in the book of Genesis. Then read Romans 1:25 - 2:1
You read, you decide. And may God bless you with wisdom and discernment. ....Please don't take this answer as one of condemnation, I only repeat what I have read in hopes that someone will ask the Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness and repent of whatever sin is stopping them from accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior: Some will say the bible is outdated but then I refer to 2 Tim. 3:16

Joshua 24 - 15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

By the tone of your question you are admitting that being Gay is a sin in the eyes of God.

Forget it, man. These people aren't gonna listen. You will get some answers that tell you to stop changing the word, or that this doesn't mean what is says, or that you are going to hell, but not one of them will say, and mean. O, crap, I never thought of that, I'd better stop worrying about other peoples imperfections, until I've perfected my own life." Not one. Sorry

Marc 3
33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
34 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

By "Based on he passage below" do you mean out of context of the whole word of God so you can make up your own religion?
