Something different than the other 6 days!
Go to church, work at home, connect with my wife and kids - try to have a good homemade Sunday night dinner.
Relax if possible - read. Refresh, recreate - He knows we need it once a week. Nice of God to command it.

The mechanical observance of the Fourth Commandment is not proper observance of Sabbath. God in His wisdom may have thought of resting after six days of ardouns Creation but the status the world is in one feels that He could have consulted some advisers in the matter.(Did he take a cue from the Hindu God Brahma, the creator who had appointed one such consultant. The wisecract, however, went on finding fault with each and every ites of his creation, as their modern counterparts are apt to do) and the work of creations often faced bottlenecks till at last Brahma had reluctuantly get rid of the adviser (bnishing his to the present age?) The world would have been a better place. But God in his Omniscience thought of leaving the job of pointing the 'i' and crossing the 't's to us.We can ill afford to spare time and observe Sabbath. We have to overwork(with hardly any prospect of any ovetime allowance) to touch up the work of Creation(or correct the mistakes which may be effects of our own misdeeds the unequal distribution of wealth, the r azing of forest, the pollution of environment etc.) Being constantly at it is perhaps the best form of observing Sabbath. Don't you agree? Oh, I am sorry if you are a believer you may feel that it is almost a sacrilege to think like this.

IN the new testament God tells us threw the apostle Paul in HEBREWS that every day is the Sabbath for those who are in Christ. I celebrate him everyday. And even if I backslid which I have a hundred times he always keeps me by his grace and Love.

I go to church every Sunday morning and night, and to mid-week services if at all physically able. I am in real bad health, and sometimes have to miss, but I don't like to. I don't even go fishing, mow my yard or do anything work-wise on Sunday. Now before everyone gets all het up let me explain that I know about the people that have to work on Sunday, and I have no quarrel with that.

I attempt to follow this interpretation of the command regarding the Sabbath. I do so by financially contributing to the church and/or charities. I try my best to go to a house of worship belonging to the one true Church each week, to be a member of a congregation of fellow Christians, to do the Sacraments, and to praise the Lord and pray to Him in the company of others. For where 2 or 3 are gathered the Lord is there. I remeber the day that Jesus rose from death and brought me Salvation, and try to go to church on Sunday as a remembrance to this event, but will gladly go any day if I cannot on Sunday.

What does God require of us in the Commandment, "Remeber the Sabbath day by keeping it holy"?

A. We should hold preaching and the Word of God sacred.

Is. 66:2 This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at My word.

1 Thess. 2:13 When you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.

B. We should gladly hear it, learn it, and meditate on it.

Joshua 1:8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.

Ps. 26:8 1 love the house where You live, 0 Lord, the place where Your glory dwells.

Luke 11:28 Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.

Acts 2:42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Col. 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

Bible narratives: Jesus gladly heard and learned the Word of God (Luke 2:41-52). Mary sat at the feet of Jesus and learned His Word (Luke 10:39). Mary kept and pondered the Word of God in her heart (Luke 2:19). The Bereans searched the Scriptures daily (Acts 17:11).

C.We should honor and support the preaching and teaching of the Word of God.

Gal. 6:6-7 Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor. Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

Bible narrative: The poor widow gave money for the upkeep of the temple and for the support of the priests (Mark 12:41-44).

D.We should diligently spread the Word of God.

Mark 16:15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation."

I don't those laws were nailed to the stake with Jesus.
He came to fulfill all those old laws and we are not under the law any more.
If you keep that one then you have to do all the sacrifices in Leviticus. that was done away with

I put my trust in Jesus who has fulfilled the Sabbath law requirement for me.

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: 11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: 12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. 5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
