I raised my daughter as a single dad, so I always put it down after peeing. But now she's grown and married. Does it appear to a new girl friend that I have lots of girls over to see my toilet seat down after I pee? I hardly ever have a lady over, and I'm not sure if the toilet seat should be up or down. Please help.

Good and considerate manners should always be used. I'm the same way.....I'm considerate that way as well. It's a gripe a lot of females seem to have with we men. I guess a lot of guys don't bother or don't care or just don't have any manners.
Seems like you've done the right thing, and now you feel you have to question that for the sake of someone's suspicions or problems.
Don't compromise your manners for someone like that that does not have the ability to consider that one's actions are indeed genuine and sincere, especially something as unimportant as the position of the toilet seat.
Someone that questions that action as suspicious is no longer a consideration in my book. Send her on her way with a smile and wish her luck in her life, cuz she's obviously going to need it.

I ALWAYS put the toilet seat down(I'm talking about the lid) before I flush...to keep all the toilet splashes from jumping out of the bowl and onto everything else in the bathroom. You cant see it, but it happens, it splashes very lightly when you flush.
So to be on the safe side, keep the lid down, at all times. She'll think you're more sanitary then a womanizer if anything.

I have to say that this topic is so silly!! It takes less energy for a women to put the seat down than for a man to raise it. So it seems to me, women should stop complaining about it.
However, to answer your question...Most women (or so it seems) are at least somewhat annoyed by a toilet seat that is up. When I go to a mans house, I don't assume he has women in and out.
So, leave it up and then put it down if you know a woman is coming over. Either way, don't stress about it!!

put it so the whole thing is down...cover and all.
toilets with the seats up look gross
especially with both sections up....I like the lid the best.

if you don't have very many ladies over don't put the seat down but remember to when you have a lady over

how come we dont complain when they leave the toilet seat down. Shouldnt we complain to leave it UP or at least return it to the UP position?

ummm its your home so how ever you want it... if you get into a relationship and always have the lady over then you can start putting it down again... but for now hey go wild and crazy and leave it up.
