Maybe you could start with the now 170 year old title "The Origin of Species" written by the Rev. Charles Darwin...yes he was an Anglican priest. This is a dangerous text because it blows the concept that Humans were some how "created" separately from everything else.

Or perhaps something from the last century...you know the 20th century..that seems to have passed you by. "A Brief History of Time" by Stephan Hawking...which probably has way too much math...so I'm sure you will avoid the headache.

Ok...How about this...find some used college textbooks like "Biology 101", "Basic Physics", "Chemistry 101" and "Physical Geography 101". That should get you occupied for a year or two giving you ample time to kick the Bible addiction.

God talks about sin being defined as an intention of malice or hurting someone. Homosexuality has been around since beginning of time (Genesis 19) if God hated homosexuality so much why didn't He destroy it in the flood? Hmm and why do we mix fabrics and not slay animals for sacrifice of our sins? Cuz Jesus came to fulfill the law so therefore we don't do those things. If Aids is a disease used by God to show His disfavor of homosexuality then it would stand to reason that only homosexuals were able to get it. But Heterosexuals get it and its passed not only by sexual activity but also drug use, getting blood as in transfusions or because of loss of blood so some given and even from mother to child if the mother is infected. What does the baby getting aids by nursing from its mother have to do with Aids. If there is any punishment involved then it would be God showing His disfavor of animal exploitation for Aids originally came from Africa where even today Aids is rampant. Monkeys(certain types esp.the Macaws)carry the virus but do not get ill from it. Africans eating the monkeys and if you eat flesh you also get the blood in the flesh got Aids for have no defenses built up in their immune system against. From Africa it came here by people coming to this country-visiting Africa,having relations and then coming back here and with air travel it easily spread. Since Aids lives in the blood it showed up in Homosexuals most because of their sexual activity- blood vessels break and the blood intermingles thus giving and spreading the virus. For once and for all God did not send Aids down on the earth as any punishment.

Jeremiah 29:11 clearly states that the plans God has for us are for our welfare not calamity.

God also clearly states that homosexuality is a sin, and God hates sin. The consequence of sin is death...and we are all sinners (Rom. 3:23).

God first loved us -- even as we were sinners -- so much that He sent His only Son to die on our behalf.

AIDS may be a consequence to some of homosexual practices; but, I would be careful claiming that God is punishing people...that seems like more of a zealous believer's ideas rooted in emotion.
