"Can you just imagine a young married cannibal couple having their father for dinner over candlelite. :) How romantic". ............um, well, it depends on how they are having their father over for dinner - is he the main course, or just another guest?

food for thought...I get it...
I suppose I'd say yes because the cannibal is moving towards proper civilized manners. Good cannibal good no stop gnawing on my hand here eat the person below me.

wow. Intriguiging. I guess it is progress. They called it progress when the caveman started making flatware out of rocks.
If I were a cannibal I would consider it progress because what I am doing isn't wrong in my head. Can you just imagine a young married cannibal couple having their father for dinner over candlelite. :) How romantic.

Well, since it is acceptable etiquette to use ones hands to eat fowl, and pork when they are served alone, but not other forms of meat, then strictly speaking I would say yes. However, since it is considered "bad form" to dine on ones neighbor, not enough progress to make an appreciable difference.

Depends on what you interpret as progress. Is it progress to learn how to use eating utensils instead of hands, fingers then in that respect yes. if we are looking for progress in terms of being civilized meaning that its socially unacceptable to eat man well then obviously no. It is possible to progress in one area of life or humanity but not in another. How that progress is measured then depends on how we as a whole of society measure in value the various aspects of being civilized.

I don't think it is progress, but it does increase production by being more efficient.
