I am not gonna buy them any gifts when I go to Europe again? Last year I went and bought them alot of gifts along with few for my sister and half brother.

My parents claim to love the gifts I got for them (few table cloths, some dishes mats, few painting, and a statue). However it have been a year and they alway come up with a excuse about why they never bother to use any of them as a deocration or anything. It really hurt me since I was nice enough to buy stuff for them and yet they are leaving it laying in garage to rot. I have asked for them back but they claim they will use it sometime.

I'm plan on buying my sis and brother few stuff when I go there again because they both really like what I got them and really appericate it and take pride in it.

So I'm try to think of a way to tell my parents that unless they start to use at least one or two things, I'm not gonna to bother with buying them anything when I go oversea anymore. However I don't want to make them mad though.

Tell them exactly what you stated above. Let them know that you took the time and spent the money to buy them nice practical gifts, yet they don't use them, and it would be nice if they showed their TRUE appreciation and gratitude by actually using what you bought them.

Mom, Dad, When I go to Europe again I don't think that I will buy as many gifts. They cost money and are a hassel to bring back over seas, besides you don't use them very much and the gifts won't be that different then last time. I hope you understand.

unless you know your parents ' taste ..you cant force them to like their gifts. Gifts are seen as a token that the traveler are thinking of them while on the trip. Do some research if you really wanted to buy something useful for them. Dont be so vindictive! Either you buy for all or not at all.....

When my children are thoughtful enough to get me a gift then I use/display it with pride no matter how ugly I think it is. You shouldn't buy your parents anything and if they ask you about it then tell them that you have no wish to have your feelings hurt again.

I wouldn't worry about saying anything until after I returned from Europe. They'll probably ask what's up once you start giving presents to others...then you can tell them that you didn't want to spend additional monies purchasing things you weren't sure they'd like.

mention before you leave that you aren't in a position to be bringing back gifts for everyone this trip so if there's anything they were hoping for, maybe they could let you know specifically and give you the cash for it before you go.

Either don't say anything at all... or ask them if there is something in particular that they would like this time

Ok, step one. Get over it. Step two. Don't buy them anything again then.
