I mean really stoned off his or her gourd when he or she sees the light or hears the word and then frequently goes to church high or prays stoned or basically devotes all of his or her frequent high times to following the Lord in the footsteps of Jesus, would it matter that the laws of man say marijuana is illegal? And if you say Give unto Ceasar that which is Ceasar's and give unto God that which is God's, I'll just ask you to give me your answer and not a quote.

Anything that brings you to God is a good thing. He truly works in mysterious ways. There are God's Laws and then there are Man's Laws. I trust God's Laws over the other. Do not let others judge you...and do what is best for you. If it should begin to create problems for you; then you might want to reconsider...as it is a sign it is no longer working for you...until then...God Speed.

i got a quote AND an answer!

jesus spoke of false prophets who would claim to speak for the lord, but who you would know by their fruits. one of the fruits of the federal government was the war on drugs, which punishes people for using pot.

my answer is, if this is helping the person be a better person, then how can it be wrong? the laws of man are the creations of man, and therefore just the best idea we had at the time. you can know which ones are good by their fruits. should your friend go to jail for what he is doing? my answer still is, if this is helping him be a better person, then how can it be wrong?

Nothing coming from outside of the man coming in can defile him (Mk. 7:15). Consumption of pot has no bearing on salvation whatsoever, but we need to be sober minded (I Pet. 1:13, 4:7, 5:8) and control our thoughts and actions.

The Bible also says to follow the laws of man, unless the contravene God's law. God's law says to keep control of your thoughts and mind, difficult when high.

Boy... NOT give you a quote?! Sorry, can't resist: A man cannot serve two masters. Christ was talking about money, but it spills over into anything that masters you. if your faith in christ is based on pot and not on God then who are you serving? God or Pot?
