I once complimented an attractive young woman, and was a little surprised by her gratitude. I thought about it and wondered if she didn’t get too many compliments because everybody thought she knew she looked good. Anyway, well meaning compliments, (for things other than appearance too), seem to be well received, and I really enjoy the reactions. Hey, we can all use a pat on the back. Good Question!

try smiling more, it makes people feel more comfortable around you, making compliment easier to give.

most people are so self absorbed that they don't pay attention to anyone but themselves. I'm sorry for you that you don't come across people that do that for you. if i saw you on the street i would say something to you, i do that often.
