Yes because you are handling liquor. I live in Hawaii & the laws changed from 18-21 about 10 years ago. You might be able to bus tables. I bartended for 20 years, good money, bad lifestyle (drugs & alcohol) I suggest if you become a bartender don't ever start doing drugs because it takes only one time to get hooked, & fight the peer pressure to drink a lot, people will respect you more if you show restraint.

I'm pretty sure you have to be 21 to bartend, but that could depend upon the state. But can serve beer at 18, at least here in MI, you can.

You have to be 21 to serve any alcohol , let alone be a bartender.

Depends on the state you live in. Some state will let you tend bar at 19 and can;t drink till 21. AZ is one of those state. Hope this helps you out.
