It might not have been officially yet but it is a war.
it has been a war.
I think the motive is revenge.
humans are selfish beings that will do anything to get there way. even if that mean war.

I was under the impression that Israel and Lebanon were already at war, considering that Hezbollah and the Israeli military are attacking each other in a warlike fashion. And I believe that given a chance, at least Iran will jump at the opportunity to attack Israel. Israel does not have many friends in the world.

In case you have not been watching the news -they are at war.
Syria will sit this one out (They have an Israeli army on one side of them and an American army on the other side - this should give them enough concern that they will behave.)
And Iran simply does not have the ability to attack Israel - and this will be even more so if their Hezbollah surrogates get taken down.

They are already at war !!!! But it is going to stop soon, there will be a cease fire, and it will stop. Granted you dont know when it will start again, but thats the way it goes over. Take it from someone who lived there during the civil war, and understands how it works.
