See , if you have done insurance for your car and if the person you have hit also has done insurance then the police will decide whose mistake is it after questioning you and the other person on how the accident took place and decide who has to pay .If it is your fault then you dont have to pay out of your pocket costs but your insurance company will get his as well as your car fixed because when you go for insurance you pay a certain amount of money which is collected and used later in case of accident

Typically, liability insurance has no deductible. They do this so that you can't cop out of paying for injuries you inflicted upon somebody else. So you won't pay directly for medical or property damage, but as others have said, you will likely see an increase in premiums. This is especially true if it's a big (read: expensive) accident, or if you've had multiple at-fault accidents within a short enough period.

Don't give any money to the other person. In fact, you shouldn't need to have any contact with the other person at all. Just contact your insurance company and give them the other guy's information, and the two insurance companies will make the arrangements. You will see a difference in your insurance premiums though!

Your insurance company should pay for the items covered under your policy, up to the limits you established (minus your deductible). After that, they do not have to pay.

If you have liability at 15/30/10, it pays up to 15,000 for 1 person, 30,000 for mulitple people, and 10,000 property damage. Anything over that is your responsibility to pay, and you can be sued for it.
