I tried the new beef brisket sub at Quizno's which is good but kinda spendy. But my husband had pork chops on the grill (I had just picked up 1/2 hog from the processor so it was fresh as can be) roasted corn on the cob from the local seller in town and green beans from our garden wrapped in foil with hot sauce, olive oil, salt and pepper and grilled outside also. He loved it. And I have got homemade carrot cake with the best cream cheese frosting for dessert.

We did Chinese, too, but Chinese carry-out -- we love the steamed dumplings (pot stickers), and we each had our favorite version of the restaurant's lo mein; chicken, beef, and a house special.
