yes china is on pace to become a world superpower due to it's fast growing economy and massive military spending altho china's declared it spent 30 billion on defense in 2005 expert believe otherwise that it was between 50-70 billion., it has a larger army than the U.S. and with new equipment every year it's catching up with the U.S., China if it stays on this road will become a superpower in 15-25 years years maybe sooner

China will become the only superpower... 1/3 of all people on earth live there... More people in China know now to speak English than American... They spend more money around the world than 1/2 of the world country put together... The town I live in is a good example... In the next 5 year China is going to spend 100 billion on building and factory and I live in Australia... They can now break a country economy... They have the biggest worlds army... What more do I have to say...

Yes they ill with India as the 2nd superpower. Those other
people who awnsered your question just don't want to admit that
the U.S is losing its grip on power. What has the U.S been
doing when India and China have been progressing. Well they have been raping Iraqi woman. And now China is unstoppable.
And soon India will have to team up with China to work on the defeat of the western world. The kids in America are just becoming more over weight and dumb then ever. While
Chinese and Indian 6 year olds can do calculas.

Only if we let them. We stopped Germany- we can stop China. But we need to stop saying that America and our military are evil. We are having a lot of success in Iraq- a lot more than the media tells us about- talk to a soldier who has actually been there- you will get an entirely different story. America was united when we defeated Germany- we need to be united again to make sure that China or any other country is not allowed to become all powerful and to dominate the world.

They're trying like hell now, to become the worlds superpower, and we would be foolish to allow this to happen. By themselves, it would take China years to reach the military parity to the US.
I believe they have a different agenda. First of all,China by itself doesn't have the balls to take on the US, however China along with Russia, N.Korea, Iran and Syria might be more courageous.
This whole Israel thing was deliberately perpetrated by Iran. The reason, in my opinion, is to rile up the middle east. I believe this plan was conceived by the countries mentioned above, together.
This moves them one step closer to a confrontation with the US, and that is what they want. Right now, Russia and China are hiding behind their surrogates, Iran and N.Korea. They're not ready to step forward and tell the world that they have been behind all this turmoil, right from the get go.
I really hope the US and its allies recognize this problem and are prepared to confront it, when it becomes necessary to do so.
Frankly, i believe the US and the UN should take out Iran and N.Korea now. This would take away Russia and China's facade. Then, they would have to step forward and announce their intentions, you know, face to face!

China would have to become a nation like the US to be a true super power. I don't see that happening when they have over a billion people to feed. China is highly over-rated. They are really an ***-backwards country that is 20 years behind the US in technology.

The world is getting smaller and because of communications, economic changes and transportation advances, no country can isolate itself anymore and refuse to be influenced or cooperate to influence others. They will eventually be forced to join in the decision making processes and it will be for the good of everyone. They have much natural resources which includes a huge population.
China is an important country involved in the world economy.

China will try too be come a World Superpower, but in the end they will fail!... Mark my words one day soon they will try to march into the middleeast and they like the Russians who will try it before them will be crushed!

At their current pace of economic growth they will become a superpower. If they want to keep expanding they need to devote more resources to research and development and new technology, because as their economy grows it will be cheaper to make basic goods in other places where labor is cheaper. Their continued growth is not guaranteed, but is possible.
