why is it that people claim to love someone unconditionally, and then go ahead and take them for granted? Is what they gain by taking them for granted really worth losing that person?

taking ppl for granted in itself implies they were not paying attention to the feelings of others. if you are in a relationship and always more concerned about yourself than the other person, it will not last long. it's very easy to do also. you let things take more time than it should, like work, school, recreation and totally forget that love is the only lasted element of your exsistance.

if the person truely knew what they were giving up, they would not waste a moment in letting that person know they loved them.. unconditionally.

People take love for granted because the person on the other end is willing to give everything for their relationship will the one who takes it for granted just like to receive and not give something or enough back. The greatest example is what Christ did on the cross for humanity. He sacrificed himself because he loved so much. How many people do you think out weigh taking it for granted than those who don't ?
