My grandmother had a really good saying about home remedies:

"If I could make something that good I'd be selling it so no one would have to waste time making home remedies." :)

Try this stuff that I used with my dog sophie. It's called Approach. You can get it online at www.approachit.net

It works fantastic on hardwood, on carpets really on anything that's water-safe. And best part is it's got no harsh chemicals or anything so you can get it on yourself, on the dog, spray it in the kitchen etc and no harm will come of it.

Give it a try cause it's been a lifesaver for me.

Good Luck!

I've found that vinegar and water in carpet works best. With hardwood, you'd probably want to go to the hardware store and ask them what type of cleaner works best so that the finish isn't ruined.
