I want to lighten the color of my hair to a blonde hue but I don't really want to have to use salon chemicals. Does anyone know any other options?

Why don't you get L'oreal Excellence Creme. You can get it from the drugstore and the lady in the cosmetic counter will be able to help you with the color you need. Just mix the ingredients and leave on for the time the instuctions say and you are ready to go. It is really easy to do, then have shower and dry and go. Good Luck.

Don't put straight bleach on your hair, if you want highlights that bad, a salon product is much safer form of bleach. But naturally, lemon juice will lighten your hair a few levels, but it might be uneven...also, DON"T use lemonade "cool-aid" !

The first 4 are right, My ex moved with me from the state of Washington a few years back, and she was a brunette, once we were in California for the summer, she was blonde. Now, she moved back up north, and her hair is brown again.

I used to use Clairol Nice'N'Easy to dye my hair blonde and it worked very well without doing any damage. Make sure you use the conditioner that comes in the package after you dye your hair.

Try hydrogen pyroxide. It worked great in the fifties, just look at Marilyn Monroe, and Jayne Mansfield. They were knock-outs, and you'll be one to.

Trust me, I've known a lot of gorgeous blondes in my time.
