I have a couple in my ear lobes. And this sounds like what I have. My doctor told me that they are calcium deposits, they can go away on their own or stay forever.

Make that I had a couple in my ear lobes, I hadn't checked for a while. Seems they have gone away again for now.
I have had pimples before in the same area so I do know the difference.

Like anything else if you are concerned about it talk to your doctor, maybe it isn't something so simple, maybe it is something that needs attention, either way there is no harm is seeing your doctor just to make sure. That is the only way I found out for sure what mine were.

It could be a swollen lymph node. This happens when there is an infection in the body. The lymph node serves as a canal where the defenses of the body arises. So better check out other body parts near your ear that is infected ( like do you have tonsilitis or strep infection, or wounds near the neck). If you also have fever..really a sign of infection. Better be going to a doctor to ask for antibiotic prescription.Hope this helps.

It could be swollen gland, or a boil, or something else entirely. I use the below website a lot. It has a diagnostic tool that can help you decide if you eed to see a doctor or not. Also, my health insurance has a free program called "Ask a nurse" where you call a certain number and they put you in touch with a live nurse 24/7. It is a really good feature. Perhaps your insurance or health department has such a service.

Good luck.

It could be a pimple. They really hurt when they show up in ears. Try putting some antibiotic ointment, like neosporine, on it. That always helps me. You can also try hot compresses. If it is a pimple, that will help bring it to a head so that it will drain.

Maybe it's a keloid. I had one on the back of my ears. It was huge. My classmate called it sh--ball. I had it surgerily removed.
