I have been through the classed 2wice and learned a few thing but nothing lasting.

I do the counting thing and the stoping to think how my actions will affect me and those around me.

And when it is all said and done I will still hit the roof.

Now don't get mad if you don't like my answer.

Maybe you could channel your anger by exercising. Maybe you could learn to meditate.

There is either more underlying problems that you need to address to help the classes to work, or you aren't really working with the things you have learned as well as you could. I think that there may be more underlying problems, tho. To get to these problems, you will probably need to see a counselor for quite awhile to figure out what is going on and to work on ways to deal with the anger. Then, and only then, will the anger management classes work. Just my opinion.

If you really want to control your temper you have to work at it. Review what you learned in class, everyday and then practice it. Maybe you have Intermittent Explosive Personality Disorder. This can be helped with medication. Ask your doctor.
