Larry's got it... wait it out.
...but while it still stings a little too much to touch, try blowing on it a bit... rinse it in cool water.... put peanut butter or tooth paste on it... show it to mommy and have her kiss it... or get one of those plastic band-aids with the all those little flowers and rainbows on it and tape it over your heart - or slap it to the middle of your forehead, that might do it... walk around like that for a week and see if your heartache doesn't go away at least a little.

Broken hearts heal in time and its natural that you are hurting. The best cure is time for time heals all. Also don't mope around or try drowning your sorrow in a bottle or with drugs(VERY VERY BAD for you). Do things,go out with your friends and even though can't expect you to be life of the party sometimes the understanding and support of friends speeds time up. If you really do need alone time-go out still for the worst thing is to mope around the house. Go to the movies,go walking in the park or if you live where a lot of green space go hiking, work out-get those endorphins to make you feel good working, read a book but somewhere in a green space- who knows there may come walking or jogging towards you a WOW person that too will speed up time for you. Wish you a speedy recovery and a happy life

The best cure for a broken heart is the knowledge that you are still breathing and still alive. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger and why waste a perfectly good life? Take this time that you have to yourself and develop who you are. Do things that interest you. Work on your hobbies and passions. This should be a time of self renewal, self expansion and self appreciation. Develop yourself as a person and you will surprised at how soon your heart will heal.

Time is the only cure for a broken heart. It is not easily forgotten, but you can do it with time, and creating things to take your mind off of the pain. I sympathise with your heartache and wish you a healthy recovery.Good luck to you

Hi, I just went through a situation that was very heart brreaking, this man that I fell in love with 3 years ago, he was not in love with me, but I kept hoping he would be, got back together with his ex-wife. I was devastated. The only thing is to just keep busy, let the healing process take it's course and talk to a friend you can trust and if you believe in God, pray.

Time. Everything passes, changes and fades. You just have to be patient and a little at a time it stops hurting. Be very kind to yourself right now. Go outside, enjoy the sunshine and do things that you like to do. Eventually you'll mend.

I know it hurts. I have been there. People told me to give it time so I'm going to tell you the same. Be strong dear and know that everything happens for a reason.

Love yourself! Treat your self well and know that if it didn't work out it was a narrow escape. Allow your self to cry but don't wallow in the tears. get up and get on with life it will only get better.

Time, only time will heal you. Give yourself some time to grieve, you'll make it through. Have faith that in time, you'll be happy, and find someone else, who will make you GLAD that you broke up with this person who broke your heart.
