My previous question was about people giving rude, insulting answers and look what I get. Someone giving a rude, insulting answer. You know who you are and you irritate me. You know a lot less than you think you do.

Here are some things that are SHOCKING to me:

I do my best to give honest helpful answers...I really do want to help the people and their animals on this site who truly need advice - I know - dogs are not easy, and some people are more familiar with them and their behavior than others.

The frustration that stems when people do not even have a basic idea of how to care for the dog - not even the basics!!! Yet they own them before doing any research on the breed, or ask themselves if they are committed for the life of the dog before getting them. Casual dog owners are very frustrating to me personally - but I am here to help where I can and give the best answer I have.

I just wish people would use some common sense...asking a question about how to treat their severely injured animal at home (when people need to get their animal veterinary care) is what is SHOCKING!! In addition, people who have no idea what they are doing, yet are advertising their average pet animal as a breeding stock are SHOCKING!!!! Only the animals suffer here!!!

We have a national crisis with millions of animals needlessly euthanized every year because of peoples' ignorant behavior - and I have been on the other side of that needle - a bit frustrating.

I will continue to give answers as best as I can (and try not to get too frustrated), and hope that some people and their pets will be helped...it is all that I can do.

I just hope you can see the other side - it is hard not to get really upset and really flippin' mad sometimes (especially when you are passionate about it)...Getem'Gang and others are responsible breeders - a rare find in my opinion - though you may not like what is said.

I know everyone, for the most part, is here becuase they care about their animal - otherwise they would not be asking:)

I admit, certain people could be a little more, tactful, in how they answer questions, but I totally understand their frustration! When people blame the dog for natural dog behaviour, or expect them to come instantly trained, it's a little upsetting. My family does the same thing. *I* train my dogs all the time, and the rest of my family never bothers. They then wind up upset when the dog won't sit, or stay, or perform tricks for their friends. The dogs listen nearly perfectly to me, but when they don't listen to someone else in my family *I* get in trouble for not having trained them well enough. If people would just understand, you actually have to WORK to own a dog, there would be fewer questions and less frustration for those of us who do understand this concept.

The other people who really get on my nerves are those who view pets as disposable. They get a dog with little or no research, then when it is too energetic, doesn't have enough energy, is stubborn, too dominant, they want to dump it on someone else because it "wasn't what they were expecting." I agree, there are some situations where a dog just may not work out for you, like if you are forced to move for whatever reason into a tiny apartment and own a lab, yeah, the lab will be better off in another home with more space, but most of the time this stuff happens due to lack of research and lack of forethought.

People like that are small minded to be sure. I have had questions answered rudely too. But you have to have thick skin if you ask questions on these kinds of websites because there are always meat heads that are lurking in the background waiting to be try to be funny. Idiots!!

I have not read the post you are referring to, but I am sure I know WHO you are referring to. She is one of only a handful here who knows what she is talking about, one of only a few REAL dog people here. You make not like what she says, many here do not want the truth, they want some AR slanted version of their own opinion. I don't always agree with her, but she sure as heck makes me laugh! She does not sugar coat things and make it all warm and fuzzy for people, but she mostly is right on.

I know, but at least there are those that actually care and want to help. I'm glad that they seem to outnumber those who are jerks.

So, those that give good constructive advice and thoughtful, sincere answers.

A big thank you!!! :)
