There are so many people becoming gay because of influences! How can we prevent that from happening to us and others? How can we live above the influence? There are so many people out there with regular lives that don't know their gay friend is going to influence them and they will become gay!

You are completely ignorant. Hanging out with gay people doesn't make you gay. Being gay is part of who you are. It is people like you that send gay people to suicide. My aunt is gay and hanging out with her doesn't make me gay. There are more people coming out because it is finally being excepted in today's society, it has nothing to do with something being contagious like a flu you dumb ***. I think the better question is how do we stop people like from being so self righteous and judgmental?

I don't understand why it should be a big deal to others which way a person decides to live there life. I have friends who are gay and they are no diff rent then anyone else. They have a hard enough time with the fact they are ridiculed all the time and discriminated against. I found out that many wish they were what society considered normal and that they have attractions to the opposite sex. It is not contagious and it is there personal choice, That is why there is the down low, in the closet and etc. I have seen people destroyed because a gay person is trying to fit in and marries the opposite sex and has kids and can't keep up the sham and everyone is devastated. Its going to happen so why can't they have insurance and other things couples have that are married?? People really need to accept people the way they are.

Wow, that's a really naive question. You worded it in a way that makes it seem that being gay is like catching the flu or something. Just because someone has a gay friend or relative doesn't mean they are all of the sudden going to be influenced by them and become gay.

Dumb as*, there aren't so many people BECOMING gay, there are just more people admitting they are gay because people are (fortunately) becoming more accepting of it.
